2018 Annual Report on Giving

The family of the late Scott E. Monk, D.O., of Cherry Hill, presented the Scott E. Monk D.O. Memorial Scholarship awards to Gloria Martinez, Jennifer Le, My Nguyen, and Christopher Paras at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s 20th Annual Trauma Symposium. The Funky Monk Fish & Music Fest held at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City in June helped raise funds for the scholarships.

For 40 years, employees have been at the heart of the fundraising efforts of the AtlantiCare Foundation. The AtlantiCare & Me Employee Giving Society celebrates employee supporters who have chosen to make a difference in the lives of others in yet another way through personal gifts of $250 or greater annually (exclusive of events). The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Rodger B. Hansen Center for Childbirth held an event on June 16, 2018 to honor all NICU grads and their family. The more than 250 guests in attendance enjoyed the many activities, entertainment and events themed for the day around superheros. The NICU, which cares for babies from throughout the southern New Jersey region who are born too early or with medical needs, celebrated its 40th year of service to the community in 2013. It opened in AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Atlantic City Campus in 1972 (then known as Atlantic City Hospital) and moved to ARMC Mainland Campus in 2005 when the Center for Childbirth opened in the campus.
