AtlantiCare celebrated 40 years at the Foundation’s campaign kick-off event on July 27, 2017 at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf with close to 150 in attendance. Stanley Grossman (pictured here) was part of the initial efforts to establish the Foundation. With his guidance and support the necessary funds were generated to keep the hospital operations going and to advance the organization.

The AtlantiCare Foundation, then called the Atlantic City Medical Center Foundation was created to support the growth of the organization through community engagement and fundraising efforts. Since then, the AtlantiCare Foundation has spearheaded many campaigns and launched several projects to offer new services, expand encouraging practices, and foster innovations in healthcare at a local level. The AtlantiCare Foundation didn’t stop there, it also enabled the medical center to respond to barriers in the community that impacted health, and over the years has been dedicated to improving the health status of residents in southeastern New Jersey. Today, the Foundation continues to exist to support the evolution of AtlantiCare and the community it is proud to serve. We remain steadfast to the commitment our founding trustees set out to achieve 40 years ago, and work daily to enable AtlantiCare to achieve its vision of building healthy communities together by enabling one life-changing moment at a time.

The 40th Anniversary Campaign is a celebration of the AtlantiCare Foundation’s Anniversary, paying homage to our founders, while investing in our community’s future. The four funding initiatives included the Cancer Care Institute, Healing Arts Program & expanded facilities, behavioral health, and a Healthy Communities Fund.
