2022 Annual Impact Report
SEPTEMBER Treating the whole person for mental healthcare and recovery
“We are a diverse multi-disciplinary team that meets our clients where they are,” says Nicole M. Tursi, Director, AtlantiCare Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. The clinic employs a holistic approach to mental health and substance use disorder treatment, providing peer support, case management, individual therapy, group therapy, and medication management. Clients with additional needs are connected to primary care providers, housing resources, and food supply. CCBHC’s Atlantic City location, opened in late 2021, saw 684 clients in its first year. Hammonton, established as a pilot program in 2017, saw 703. “Our integrated care model breathes AtlantiCare’s vision of building healthy communities,” says Tursi. “Patients get better because we treat the whole person.”
OCTOBER The Foundation held its 61st Annual Century Club Gala on October 9, 2022. Each year our gala honors those who have made a difference in our community with the Edward R. Knight Award. Dr. Kamal and Dee Kassis as well as Joseph Kelly were recognized as the 2022 recipients of this award.
