• AtlantiCare Physician Group (APG) onboarded 76 new providers, including 56 new physicians and 20 allied health providers. • Five exemplars identified by Magnet appraiser during April site visit: Diversity and Inclusion, Pantry at the HealthPlex,
Neurosciences/Stroke, Workplace Violence Prevention, and Inpatient Behavioral Health. • Achieved Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) Leader designation for the seventh consecutive year. • ARMC initiated lab apprenticeship program for local residents. • Launched Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Hybrid Program with Mercer County. • Launched two new Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Recovery and Fitness &Well-being.
• Successfully eliminated sugar-sweetened beverages system-wide through “A Sip in the Right Direction” campaign. • 247 providers participated in the Press Ganey Provider Survey with engagement and alignment scores above national and regional averages. • AtlantiCare became a Recovery Court Employer to provide an alternative track for individuals with substance abuse disorders. • ARMC maintained greater than 90 percent first-time pass rate on American Board of Internal Medicine certification examination. • ARMC redesigned and optimized the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) processes. • Adult hospitalists operationalized new perioperative and behavioral medicine lead physician roles. • Center for Childbirth achieved the Baby Friendly Initiative President’s Award. • Pharmacy department received the AtlantiCare Team Award for Best Finance (Pharmacist Procalcitonin Protocol) and Best Growth (Medication Therapy Disease Management Clinic). • AtlantiCare Physician Group (APG) began a preceptor program for ambulatory nursing and medical assistants. • AtlantiCare Physician Group (APG) launched the ATP Engagement Committee to support staff through the Cerner implementation on June 1, 2018. • AtlantiCare appointed the following medical directors: Dr. Chugh, Medical Director, Urgent Care; Dr. Jaloudi, Medical Director, Oncology; and Dr. Timms, Medical Director, Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM). • Oncology/Clinical Services launched the oncology nurse navigator call line to assist providers with care coordination. • 12 registered nurses fromMaternal Child Health have completed their certification for National Breastfeeding Counselor. • Process Management Office, in conjunction with Rutgers University, mentored nine new Lean Six Sigma Green Belts and one new Black Belt training. In addition, one Black Belt received certification. Overall, 25 new Lean & Six Sigma projects are underway or completed. • Pharmacy presented 13 posters at the Annual American Society Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) national convention, showcasing 34 clinicians. Six posters were accepted and presented at the Annual New Jersey Society Hill System Pharmacists (NJSHP), with one poster accepted as a finalist. • Initiated video format of Monthly Messenger to complement the print format. • Upgraded and remote-hosted the staff scheduling system, Clairvia. • Reached final stages of development for components of the Transformation of the Workforce strategic initiative: formal mentoring program, high-potential employee program, fast track serving leadership roll-out, and normalizing work from home. • Launched Facebook live Physician Chats and Staff Saturday video series with great engagement success. • Pharmacy successfully completed the pharmacy residency recruitment process, matching three residents. • Pharmacy department achieved >75 percent of technician staff nationally certified.
