If the exposure occurs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, contact Occupational Medicine immediately (609-677-7200). If the exposure occurs Monday through Friday, 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Or Saturday-Sunday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, call Galloway Urgent Care (609-748-2100). Follow up with Occupational Medicine the following business day at 8:00 a.m. for additional counseling and recommendations. If the medical provider determines that you are unable to work, you will be paid for the balance of the shift on the date of injury as Authorized Time Off. If it is determined that you will be losing additional time away from work due to your injury, you will be paid in accordance with State law. You may request that any Worker's Compensation disability payment be supplemented with your accrued sick time. If the medical provider approves your return to a light duty position, you may be required to return to a Transitional Duty position with modified duties temporarily until you are able to resume your full duties. Failure to accept these "modified" duties may cause your Workers’ Compensation payments to cease. Any employee who is absent for longer than three (3) consecutive work days due to related illness or injury will also be subject to AtlantiCare’s leave of absence policy. Vacation, holiday, personal or sick time do not accrue while out on leave of absence. See Policy ID#: 390, Worker's Compensation.
