AtlantiCare Leader Handbook
Leader Expectation(s): Leaders are expected to be familiar with the information above regarding LOA. They should be able to direct their staff to the appropriate contact for assistance ( LOA@atlanticare.org or 609-677-7766). They can reach out to the LOA office directly with questions. Employees should not be contacted and/or working when they are on LOA. Even though an employee is on LOA, leaders must still update and approve their time in Kronos. Agency/temp/contractor staffing AtlantiCare supplements the workforce with agency, contractor, and temporary employee staffing when needed. To request an agency or temporary employee, complete the form on HR Relevance. The Talent Acquisition team will partner with outside organizations to fill your request.
Contractor staffing is completed directly by departments. Once contractors are known, HR needs to be notified so they can have appropriate building access, IT access, and maintaining the appropriate clearances.
Leader Expectation(s): When leaders have a need (agency and temp), they should submit the form and work with Talent Acquisition. For contractors, leaders must notify HR so they can be processed appropriately. New Hire Orientation All new AtlantiCare employees are scheduled to attend New Hire Orientation. New Hire Orientation welcomes new employees and provides them with education about the organization. The employees receive education on our business and people strategies. After orientation is completed, new employees go to their respective units.
New hires are also assigned additional education in HealthStream to reinforce the topics discussed during New Hire Orientation. This must be completed within their first 30-days.
Leader Expectation(s): Leaders should ensure that all of their new employees go through New Hire Orientation and complete the New Employee Online Orientation education in HealthStream. Starfish Experience Labs AtlantiCare is committed to providing excellent customer service. The Starfish Lab is a learning session conducted by the Customer Experience department that gives employees the opportunity to explore topics regarding Customer Experience and see from perspectives different than their own. Starfish Experience Labs are conducted during the second day of New Hire Orientation. Leader Expectation(s): Leaders should ensure that all of their new employees go through the Starfish Experience Lab and be aware of the topics that are covered. HR Relevance HR Relevance is a system that houses forms and lists for various employment actions: Requisition Request Leaders use this form to notify the Talent Acquisition Team that there is a vacancy that needs recruitment. Temporary Request Leaders use this form when they are in need of a temporary or agency employee in their department. Status Change Form Leaders use this Change of Status (COS) form to notify HR of employment changes such as a reporting relationship change, pay change, a status (i.e. Full Time to Part Time) change, a department transfer, a job transfer, addition of a second job, or a natural career promotion. Most changes like this are typically processed through Job Requisitions. However, there are some instances where processing them through a COS is permissible. Please check with your HR Partner on which form/process is most appropriate to use.
