2022 Annual Impact Report
APRIL AtlantiCare’s flagship Surgery Center in Egg Harbor Township marks its 25th Anniversary.
MAY “We Are Healthcare Heroes”
Masks can’t hide the passion, focus, and dedication of AtlantiCare hospital staff, who were photographed on-the-job for an AtlantiCare Foundation Healing Arts project. The photos, on display in both Mainland and City hospital campuses, highlight healthcare workers in their work environment and celebrate hospital staff in recognition of National Hospital Week 2022. “Physicians, nurses, therapists, EMTs, food service workers, administrators, technicians – every person is important to improving the health of patients,” says Cheryl Broschard, Foundation Project Manager, Healing Arts Program. “We wanted to bring out the personal side and the many voices of the people who make AtlantiCare tick. There’s no staging, no special lighting – just staff, doing their jobs. What we ended up capturing was so honest, so personal, and so beautiful.” The project also included a video, posted on AtlantiCare’s Facebook page, in which staff share what they love most about their work. Caring for patients “makes you feel like you are doing something special,” says one
employee. “AtlantiCare has a lot of wonderful people and they bring out the best in each other,” says another. “The satisfaction of people getting better,” says a third. “It’s a great gig.”
